Car Talk

For some humor and intelligent car repair tips try the Official Car Talk Radio Show Web Site. Tom and Ray Magliozzi’s Car Talk columns (which are word searchable) dispense repair and maintenance advice.

The Family Car Website

The Family Car website provides tips on choosing and caring for a vehicle, dealing with car problems, finding good repair shops and improving your driving skills.  There is a new car photo gallery and review section, as well as a learning center and articles related to cars, driving, and safety. 
 
Inner Auto Parts

Inner Auto Parts has a section they call “How Cars Work 101.”   While this is not specific repair, it is solid information with diagrams that explain the many components of an automobile.
 
Under the Hood: Automotive Mechanics 101

This ThinkQuest site features basic car-care tips and explains how the car works in easily understood language. It is geared to teaching with “lessons” for beginners and more advanced learners. There is an interactive section, games, and related links. Slide shows are available for some topics, e.g. changing your car’s oil.
